Contracts Manager Jobs

Contracts manager jobs involve negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, financial reporting, and product delivery for major contracts. Contracts managers are responsible for establishing and managing a contract requirements action list which identifies the contractually required notices and the individuals responsible for initiating each notice. Contracts managers must be able to negotiate contracts and make recommendations regarding contract implementation. Contracts managers serve as points of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems. Contracts managers must understand and have a strong knowledge of government contracts and knowledge of contract-related activities, including negotiations and legal, regulatory, operational, financial, vendor, and payer relationships.

Contracts manager jobs require a BS or BA degree and 8-10 years of experience. A contracts manager must have proven written and verbal communication skills based on a solid command of government contract terminology and English language and grammar. A contracts manager should have the ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and perform all duties of contract administration. Contracts managers should also have the ability to research complex contractual documents for interpretive purposes.
